Special Order Policy

  • Down Payment: 20% of total purchase required to begin.
  • Payment Deadline: Balance due within 60 days of item availability.
  • Defaults: Refund eligible (minus down payment) in store credit only.
  • Cancellation: Refund eligible (minus down payment) for 1 year.
  • Minimum Down Payment is Non-Refundable.
  • Item Unavailability: Full refund available if Ammo Bros cannot deliver within 90 days.
  • Cash Refunds > $150: Issued by company check.

 

Layaway Policy

  • Eligibility: Items worth $300+.
  • Terms: 20% down, full payment due in 60 days.
  • Defaults: Refund eligible (minus down payment) in store credit only.
  • Flexible Payments: Payments allowed any time within term.
  • Cancellation: Refund eligible (minus down payment) for 1 year.

 

Storage Policy

  • Fees: $50 per firearm for the first month, then $20 every month thereafter.
  • Responsibility: Ammo Bros is not liable for damage.
  • Recommendation: Store firearms in case or bag.
  • Return Conditions: Approved DROS and 10-day background check required.
  • Abandonment: Firearms left over 60 days after restriction ends will be considered abandoned and sold to cover fees.

 

Incoming Firearm Transfers

  • Sources: Can be from FFLs or private individuals.
  • Legality: Must be CA-legal upon arrival. No modifications will be done in-store,
  • Handguns: Must be on CA DOJ roster or exempt.
  • Fees: $80 + $37.19 DROS + CA sales tax + CA FET (if applicable).
    • Each Additional Firearm: $20 + applicable taxes.
  • From Dealers: Must include CA Firearm Shipment Approval Number.
  • From Individuals: Must include a copy of seller’s ID. No approval number or CA tax required.

 

Private Party Transfers (PPT)

  • Who: Both parties must live in CA and be present in-store.
  • Fees: $47.19 for first firearm, $10 per additional.
  • Buyer Denied: Firearm returned to seller after DOJ approved background check.
  • Refunds: Buyer/seller must resolve. Ammo Bros is not involved.

 

Incoming Ammunition Transfers

  • Source: Licensed dealers or individuals.
  • From Dealers: $50 per 5000 rounds + DROS.
  • From Individuals: $5 flat + DROS.

 

Ammunition DROS Options

  • Instant Check ($5): Requires address matches registered firearm.
  • Standard Check ($19): No firearm registration needed; takes up to 30 days.

 

Unclaimed Items

  • Storage Fee: $50 per month applies to any item left unclaimed after 30 days.
  • Abandonment: After 180 days, item(s) will be considered abandoned.
  • Notice: While Ammo Brothers will do its best to assist, it is the customer’s responsibility to track the arrival of their items. Ammo Brothers is not responsible for notifying you when your item arrives.
